DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Managing a fine watchmaking brand is truly my 4th job and I’ve always started jobs without truly knowing the industry, because if you know you don't do anything.

Forty years ago, I threw this challenge to Laurent, but in the meantime we both had other lives, I had other jobs in the automobile and military vehicles, etc. When I finished these two experiences, I called Laurent back, to start this new journey together. I’m lucky enough to say that everything I have achieved is thanks to my interpersonal skills, the encounters I have made and my empathy for others. It's great, I'm very happy to be with Laurent in this venture and to be able to continue this project together, especially at this time when we are particularly benefiting from an upturn.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

A WORD ABOUT YOUR TEAM...
I'm grateful we have managed, over time, to put in place a team that is really talented at all levels. We are comfortable and get along well. It is rare to have people who are competent in all areas, and I believe this is the case today and I hope it will continue for many years.

MOVEMENT CONCEPTOR

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB INVOLVE?
I realize the study and the design of all the LF calibres and I also work with my father on the cases' design.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TIMEPIECE IN THE COLLECTION?
It's impossible to choose, they all are like my children.
But I'm wearing a Square Micro-Rotor with a gold-toned dial. My dad gave it to me for my fortieth birthday and I don't ever get tired of it.

HEAD OF SALES

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB INVOLVE ?
My job is to look after all the commercial aspects of the business. This involves maintaining relationships with our retail and distribution partners, as well as with end clients, to ensure they get everything they need. Day to day tasks would include explaining our various timepieces and their specific attributes, helping our customers identify the piece that is right for them, proposing assortments to our partners, training sales staff, representing the brand at trade shows and following up to ensure all the right things are in the right place at the right time.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TIMEPIECE OF THE COLLECTION?
This is a very hard question. As all the pieces in the collection have their own place and story to tell.
However, if I had to choose, I would have to say the Square Micro-Rotor in the steel case with the retro dial and green strap is my favourite. This watch speaks to me for its aesthetics, with a perfect blend of classic lines and a modern twist, to make it something truly special. But also of course for its technical aspects, notably the micro-rotor movement with the natural escapement. I love the idea that this rare horological technology was invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1789 and then almost 250 years later, perfected my Mr. Ferrier and his team.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

WHAT DOES YOUR WORK INVOLVE?
I am responsible for the supply chain. This means that I purchase materials and components, I liaise with subcontractors, I manage stocks and the workshop's planning.
In parallel, I manage deliveries (imports/exports) and I also take care of sales administration.

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING HERE?
I have been working here for six years now and during these six years, the company has never stopped progressing. Both in terms of the quality of its products and the improvement of its production, its relations with its customers and its quality of life in the company. I am very proud to be part of this.

HEAD OF MARKETING

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB INVOLVE ?
Most of my work consists of managing strategic marketing and communication: product launches, product environment, social networks, website...etc. I also do all the organisation of events and the press relations.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TIMEPIECE IN THE COLLECTION?
It is difficult for me to choose because I know the brand since the first timepiece. I think I would rather talk about the soft and strong curves of the cases designed by Laurent.
As far as the movement is concerned,I think of the micro-rotor with a natural escapement which is breathtaking, as much in its history as in its complexity and aesthetic.

IN CHARGE OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

WHAT DOES YOUR WORK INVOLVE?
I work on the creation of new pieces for the collection with Laurent Ferrier.
I also work on all the special pieces and customisations for special clients.
The particularity of my job is that I establish the link with other departments: the construction department, where I produce some of the technical files, particularly for the trim pieces, and the marketing department, where I also work on the product strategy and their promotion, both physical and medi
a.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TIMEPIECE IN THE COLLECTION?
I would say the Grand-Sport one. As a designer and motorsports lover, I have always thought that this model perfectly expresses the story of Laurent and François: their friendship, their shared passion for racing, their ambitions but at the same time their humility and simplicity.

WORKSHOP MANAGER

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB INVOLVE?
I am in charge of the management of the two workshops: watchmaking and decoration. I am also responsible for the counter-entry of the components and the exit of the parts before delivery.
In parallel, I work on the development of prototypes and the continuous improvement of existing calibres.

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING HERE?
From a personal point of view, LAURENT FERRIER products represent all the ethical and qualitative codes that I learned during my apprenticeship. In addition, here the watchmaker is given a chance to express the entirety of his craft and this makes the job more interesting.

I ensure the functioning of each part by providing careful and quality work.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TIMEPIECE OF THE COLLECTION?
The uniqueness of the natural escapement system combined with the sobriety of a Classic gearbox makes the Micro-Rotor Classic a piece I would love to wear.

WATCHMAKER

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB INVOLVE?
I do the complete assembly of all the calibres of the company as well as the pre-assembly of certain components. I also do the finishing on the steel parts.
At the same time, I carry out the aesthetic and functional inspection of components arriving from our suppliers.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TIMEPIECE OF THE COLLECTION ?
From a technical point of view I like to work on the Annual Calendar. This calibre requires different adjustments to ensure its proper functioning.
From an aesthetic point of view, I really like the Traveller. The Classic case with the pushers at 8 and 10 o'clock is really beautiful. The dial too with the balance of the date and second time apertures.

DECORATEUR

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB INVOLVE?
I work on all the LF components. The decoration steps are manual operations like the chamfering, the internal angles, the mirror polish or the circular graining of the plates.

WHAT IS YOU FAVOURITE TIMEPIECE OF THE COLLECTION?
The components with the black rhodium finish are my favorites to work on. More than this, I think this movement is beautiful at the case back. I love the contrast between the micro-blasting parts and the polish chamfers.

DECORATEUR

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB INVOLVE?
I’m working on the decoration of all the components of the LAURENT FERRIER movements. I do some circular graining, some chamfering, some mirror polish and micro-blasting finish.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TIMEPIECE IN THE COLLECTION ?
The Origin movement is a very pleasant movement to work on as a decorator.
Moreover, I find it very pretty. The dark finish brings out the golden engravings and the contrast between the matt and polished parts structures the movement well.
